June 24, 2020 – The IoT Community—a community CxOs (chief experience officers) and IoT professionals—has appointed Dr. Tom Bradicich chair of its new advisory board.
Bradicich is vice-president, Hewlett Packard Fellow, and Global Head of Edge and IoT Labs at Hewlett Packard Enterprise. He is a member of the IoT Community advisory board, and had been appointed chair of their Converged Edge Centre of Excellence.
He started his career at IBM, where he became an IBM fellow, vice-president, distinguished engineer, and server CTO. Just prior to HPE, Tom was a corporate fellow at National Instruments.
Tom holds several U.S. patents, and has led teams to develop, launch, and manage dozens of hardware and software products, and co-founded seven technical industry standards. He led and aided the creation of several new product categories, such as the first notebook computers, smartphones, converged blade systems, converged edge systems and software.
“We welcome Dr. Tom Bradicich to his new post […] where his experience in converged IT/OT and the Edge will influence how the IoT Community approaches this critical inflection point for the ecosystems we serve,” said Bill Mortimer, outgoing chair, who will continue to serve as chair emeritus for the group.
The IoT Community describes itself as the world’s largest CxO community of senior business leaders and IoT practitioners, consisting of 23,500+ members. Its function is to focus on adoption and application of IoT in commercial environments, overcoming the variety of barriers, inhibitors, and technical and operational issues.
