Telecom software vendor Cramer announced today that its enterprise OSS product has gone into live operation at Bell Canada.
The Cramer deployment enables the telco to migrate legacy systems to a consolidated platform to offer next-generation applications and content services to its business and residential customers.
The software supports Bell Canada’s optical initiatives, manages network relationships and configures information between physical, logical, and service layers.
More than 200 users are now relying on it to provide network and service provisioning for optical Ethernet offerings, as well as active inventory and capacity management for SONET, PDH, and DWDM networks.
The optical deployments represent the first phase of Bell Canada’s Network Inventory Management (NIM) program, a key component of Bell’s transformation to an all-IP network that will enable it to simplify its infrastructure and streamline its OSS, Cramer said.
Headquartered in London, other major Cramer customers include BellSouth, TelMex, BT, KPN and Vodafone.
